The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven

When Alex Malarkey was six years old, he and his father Kevin, were in a horrible car accident. Alex's injuries were so severe, his x-rays showed the first vertebrae below his skull had been pulled apart from the second and stood at a 45 degree angle. Everyone thought he was dead or that he wouldn't survive. But Alex surprised everyone by not only surviving, but by the story he had when he finally came out of his coma.

The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven is written by Kevin Malarkey and his son Alex. When Alex came out of his coma he had lots of stuff to tell his dad. From how his dad was saved by angels (they took him out of the car and laid him on the ground and began to heal him immediately after the accident), to Alex's trip to heaven with Jesus, to watching the surgeons operate on him. But Alex's visit to heaven didn't end there. To this day, according to Alex, angels visit him - frequently.

One might think that these are the imaginings of a boy who is trying to cope with being a quadriplegic - his angels names are Ryan, Vent, and John. Even his father admits to wondering the same thing. But, the miracles that were occurring to Alex while he was in a coma are things you just can't imagine. Like his skull being reattached to his spinal column - without medical intervention.

The Malarkey family had extraordinary blessings from God during this horrific period in their lives. Confirmations from God that He loved and cared for them. They had so many of these miracles that I could not begin to list them here.

I was most impressed by their church and how they surrounded this family with prayers. They even had a schedule in the ICU when people could come in to pray over Alex.

In the end, as Alex likes to point out, "It's not about me." He wanted to tell his story to give people hope in God. To let them know that heaven is a wondrous place and that God loves and cares for them, no matter how difficult life may be.

I want to buy this book!! This family was in our area a few weeks ago,I didn't get to go to their program. I beleave that this is the same folks! I beleave that our God is still in the miracle business!!
