Bringing Resources to the Christian Woman Online.
I'm so excited. Within a week I will be holding a copy of my book, Joab's Fire. The last few months I went through all the emotions of a pregnant woman--anxieties, joy, fear, giddiness, frustration...oy.
And I know that in the next few months, I'm going to feel like I just had a baby--long days, little sleep, fears, joy, peace, anxiety, hurt, ecstasy,...and lots of work. My baby will need to be fed lots of publicity, initially nursing several times a day on simply getting the word out. Eventually the baby will grow and become a little more independent. But when that happens, another baby will be on its way requiring just as much work as Joab's Fire...oy! What did I just get myself into?
Like all mothers, I will need some help from my friends and family. I hope that you, my dear blog readers, will get a hold of the book and that God will bless you as you read it. If you've been blessed by Joab's Fire, then spread the word to your friends and family. Write a review for online bookstores like Amazon.com or on your blog. Perhaps God can bless your contacts as well. Here's the 411 on Joab's Fire:
Joab Black and his wife Sarah overcame the worst of pioneer hardships in order to establish a prosperous farm in Alberta, Canada. But those challenges never prepared them for the tragedy they now faced—a staggering loss and intense pain causing them to doubt everything they had ever believed. In the midst of their sorrow, even their closest friends interpret their sufferings as a result of God’s judgment. Has God abandoned them? Here's a comment from one of my endorsers:Sergeant Dixon, the local North West Mounted Police officer, investigates the events leading to the Blacks’ plight. While his work gives them a ray of hope, his probing into the activities of a certain stranger possibly connected to the case may cost him his job and even his life.
Inspired by the Biblical book of Job, this novel includes a Bible study exploring the perfection of God’s plan and the bounty of His love even in the most inexplicable and intense sufferings.
Lynn is a master storyteller who weaves her love of Jesus Christ and the truth of His scripture throughout all her writing. Joab’s Fire will ignite a flame of hope and faith within you as you journey with Joab, his wife, and friends through countless tragedies and unimaginable heartache. This book and accompanying Bible study will challenge and encourage you to seek God in the midst of every storm.Joab's Fire will be released in bookstores in June 2011, but if you want an early copy, you can email me privately (lynnsquire@gmail.com) and I'll help you get one.Debra Shirley, speaker, author, and Ladies Sunday School Teacher at Tannehill Baptist Church, www.kingdomwriter.com.
