AH THE MEANDERING BILLY

Hi CWA Women!

I get such a kick out of the daily newspaper comics. If it isn't Jumpstart making my morning, Zits confirming my absurdity or Bizarro explaining my day, I would just plop where I'm standing and cry. They're the stuff that makes life...well, funny.

So today, I'm living the life of Billy from "Family Circus.". Bil Keane's precocious middle offspring just can't help but meander from task to task. He may take a long time to reach his destination, but he's admiring the wonders of life along the way. Those days don't come quite so often when I'm focused on getting something done, but when they do -- WATCH OUT! I'll find beauty in a lilac bush wildly growing on route to work. I'll get caught up with the sheer wonders of Christian women getting God's word out there into cyberspace. I'll even try to withhold from laughing uncontrollably because it just dawned on me I've been sitting in front of my computer for hours without a potty break after nursing ginger ale from my Bubba Keg (52 oz. ladies - oh dear) enjoying what I've surfed!

God's funny that way, isn't He? He knows how we're wired. He knows that life requires a bit of levity, joy follows weeping and a serious day needs to meander sometimes! May you find yourself enjoying the fullness of God's day. Learn to rejoice and be glad in it when the day doesn't seem quite so funny!
