God gave me a "mission" - Find out why in my book "MIssion Possible"

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to stand in the gap for your mate’s soul. This small book is a powerful tool for any woman who is married to a man who does not share her passion for Jesus. Every woman knows someone who is struggling with this in their marriage.

During an intense time of intercessory prayer God laid on my heart ot write this book. It is my personal testimony of how God directed me to pray for my husband and… Continue

What My Logo Is All About

When it came time to form my publishing company, the name - Faith Inspired Books - came quite easily. I believe firmly that each and every one of my stories is a special blessing from God, so the idea that I'm inspired through my faith was pretty elemental. But coming up with a logo, for a while, seemed just about impossible. How can you illustrate a concept like inspired faith? How impossible is that?! I tried angels and hearts, Bibles and strong, beautiful trees. But nothing felt… Continue

In Search of Thanks

by Leigh Ann Napier, iBloom Associate

Living in a state of gratitude doesn’t happen by accident. It is something you have to develop a discipline for. Some people and personalities may be more naturally bent to look on the brighter side of life…the half- full/ half-empty debate. Yet we are all called by Christ’s example to give thanks to God for what we have.

I found a detail this week as I was… Continue

Knowledge in Heaven

When we get to heaven, I’m not sure how we’re gonna get in on the “God knowledge” - I’m puzzled about how is this going to work. I’m sure we will be initially stunned with many things; but, I have often wondered if all our questions about life and God-workings will really be answered – or do we become so taken with heavenly beauty and overwhelmed with Holiness – that our questions dissolve into nothing.

One of my biggest questions is HOW DOES PRAYER WORK? That's what I rambled on about… Continue

A Christian Woman's Guide to Empowerment

by Leigh Ann Napier, iBloom Associate

We’ve all been there. Whether it was in 3rd grade when mom chose our outfits or hairstyle and we were mortified to go to school looking like that or it was last week when we saw the commercial for needy children and we quickly changed the channel to get rid of that feeling; that helpless feeling of we believing we can’t do anything about it. In 3rd grade, we certainly thought we knew what was cool and our mother was clueless but we couldn’t buy… Continue

5 Ways to Get Inspired

by Leigh Ann Napier, iBloom Associate

Life is tough. We are busier than ever these days and it seems like the busier I am, the less I get accomplished! Frustrating would be an understatement. When we get in a rut…doing the same things, day after day, with seemingly little or no progress to show for it, it is easy to feel defeated. When the daily mundane tasks seem to fill up your entire day, it makes it nearly… Continue

Are You Worried?

Are you worried? You should be. According to the latest research, you should be worried about approximately 692,398 things, including worrying about columnists spouting false statistics.

First there’s H1N1, though I much prefer calling it swine flu. Swine flu makes me think of germs and sneezing. H1N1 makes me think of a science fiction mutant virus. Much scarier.

Recently I was also rendered paranoid by several episodes of the highly entertaining British show How Clean is… Continue

Personal Goal Setting: Ignore the Chocolate!

This evening I received some of the worst personal goal setting advice I think I’ve ever received.

Set your goals high, but not your expectations.

Say what?! I read that and did a double-take. I couldn’t believe it. Never before has Dove chocolate messages steered me wrong, but today was definitely a turning point.

Yeah, so I’m partially joking about actually following advice from a Dove chocolate message. Normally their message are uplifting or just plain… Continue

Women Competing In Ministry

It is a sad truth that most of us women find ourselves on the wrong end of the true purpose in ministry. After investing time, energy, and resources we look for the fruit of our labor as if to wear it on the sleeve of the fabulous new top that we got on sale just last week at Kohls. After all, nothing spells out a woman’s worth like her accomplishments and abilities, or does it?

Is our purpose to feel worthy or to expand His kingdom?

Is our purpose to establish ourselves… Continue
