Bio; Short Professional. Can be edited inside.: I am 62 years old, married joyously for 16 1/2 years. My husband shared Jesus with
me while we dated. I have finally found the beautiful relationship with the LORD that
is meant to be. I grew up in a Christian home yet 'relationship' was never taught in
any church or around the table during my growing-up years. Once I went to college
and got away from home, I then spent the next 27 years wandering and searching.
Jesus was right there waiting for me. Praise the LORD that I finally heard the knock!
I grew up with two younger sisters in a Navy family. My father was a doctor in the
Navy so we moved often. He died when I was 12 of pancreatic cancer.
Mom had three girls (of which I am the oldest) to raise alone through those adolescent years.
My career was as an elementary school teacher and retired as a children's librarian
for a public library, both of which I loved! I was tutoring children in reading until my mother fell. She needs every ounce of my extra energy, it seems.
I continue to learn and hopefully grow from reading the Bible, spending time with
the LORD in quiet prayer and in reading books by Christian authors.
I am grateful for His love and for His care over my life.

As I journey through God's Word, I find that writing is becoming such a love and God is providing dear people to enter into my life through the blog. I am happy to remain there, yet I am privileged to be a contributing writer to "Granola Bar Devotional", "Sanctified Together" (for the April, 2010 issue), "Quiet Time Ministries Cafe Forum", as well as the co-moderator there.
