that little word submission

Yesterday while at my mom's house we had a little discussion about submission. I should say it was more than just a little discussion. My mom got down right heated, until I finally just said, "Mom, its okay."

Why does that word drive so many nuts? I must say it use to drive me insane. I thought, "There is no way I am going to allow a man to tell me what I can and cannot do!" But that is not what that word means at all. It means respect, love and honor.

As I open my bible up to John chapter 19 I read as tears are streaming down my face. Today we reflect upon Good Friday. We return to that day where Jesus gave all. Jesus did not lose His life, Jesus gave it freely. Why? He did it for you and I. Through Him we can find freedom and redemption. It is through the grace He gave this day that we can find life.

What do you do when those storms come? What do you do when those changes come that we are not ready for? We can choose to climb in the lap of Jesus or we can become angry and move away from Him. Even those who have a strong faith can feel the tides coming in and not sure which way to run.
