Christian Women Affiliate

Bringing Resources to the Christian Woman Online.

Go ahead, ask! I will do my best, and others will input as well.

Here are some Hints:

If you have not opened a FanPage yet, sign up to Facebook with a DIFFERENT account then your personal one. Use a different email and open a new account. This way you can 'tag' yourself from your FanPage.

Example:
I did NOT do this with Christian Women Affiliate's page. So when I am on CWA's fanpage, I cannot 'Tag' my personal profile. Your Personal Profile can be an important connection to attach to some posts on your fanpage wall.

Tag Tag Tag....
When posting on your FanPage wall, make sure to Tag any page you talk about or person of interest. Do not abuse this though. Respect others always. I do this a lot with The CWA Radio Network. Whenever I post about a show, I tag the Hosts Personal FB page (or Fanpage) and if they have a business fanpage or group I tag it. This way it shows up in each place, giving optimal visual.

HOW TO TAG? Just type the @ sign then the first letter of the name of the person or fanpage/group. You will see suggestions start coming up. Then just click the one you want.

I have noticed that unless the page is refreshed first it will not let you tag sometimes. You can tag up to 5 people/pages in one post.

Always give credit to someone by Tagging them if you use something that they have said.

Remember you can ALWAYS delete something that someone has either posted on your fanpage/personal page. Even if it's a tag. If you do not want it, delete it.

Again, a reminder not to abuse this. Unless it's a benefit to the other person, you should keep it infrequent.

It does promote greater exposure to all parties of course.

This is another reason to check your privacy settings on Facebook

With people tagging you, that means a lot of people can click over to your profile. What will they see??? Make sure they see what you want them to.

I personally show majority of my info etc to 'Friends of Friends'. Through your account privacy settings you can click on a link there to see what others see. I do not show my email, phone number to anyone.

Ok, I have us started here!

I thought signing up for another account like that was against the rules? I just have my fan page attached to my personal account. The rules say you're supposed to do it like that so people don't run up FB's bandwidth. Fb says they'll shut pages down that are found to be breaking the rules...

Oooo! I looked this up and you're right unless you open a Facebook profile and turn it into a business profile. Like, say your boss asks you to open up a Facebook 'Page', you would not use your personal account to open it. You would open a profile and turn it business than just use it to open a Page. Business profiles ONLY see Pages and Groups. They cannot do comments etc. Business accounts are stripped-down Facebook accounts that can only manage Facebook Pages, and manage Facebook Ads.

(MAKE NOTE: Once you elect in to switching the account to a business account you can never undo it).
